Services for Local Community

  • Members of the public are welcome to use the library whenever the library is open up until 9:30 PM daily.
  • Library computers are reserved for members of the university community.
  • Research databases are reserved for members of the university community.
  • Guest borrower cards are available to members of the public for a fee of $25 a year. These cards can be used to borrow books from the library. To apply, submit the online Application for Wahlstrom Library Guest Borrower Card or apply at the Information Desk on the 1st floor of the Library.
  • Faculty, staff and doctoral students from many Connecticut institutions can get a card at their home institution which will allow them to borrow books at the University of Bridgeport through the CCALD/CLC Reciprocal Borrowing Program . Please call during business hours to let us know you will be coming to the library so staff can be notified.
  • The Library Catalog can be searched to find out what books and journals The University of Bridgeport has on the shelves.
