CAHRS – Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies – The Cornell Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies(CAHRS) is one of the leading centers for academic/industry partnerships in the study of human resource management.
American Staffing Association – Founded in 1966, the American Staffing Assn. sought to create a better understanding of this sector’s role in serving business, educationg the public and advocating for its goals with local, state, and federal governments.
The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) – The OPM serves as the chief human resources agency and personnel policy manager for the Federal Government. OPM began in 1883 with the enactment of the Civil Service Act, and ened the “spoils system” which was used as a means of political payment for supporting politicians in order to obtain federal civil service positions.
